Our Staff

We are fortunate to have a group of very caring individuals who have worked as a team for many years. If it feels a bit chilly and you need a blanket, or just want to view a different movie, don't hesitate to ask any one of our staff. Our job is to do everything we can to make sure you're feeling relaxed and comfortable.

Front Office

Our front office staff is happy to help you with any scheduling, insurance or financial concerns. We will always greet you with a smile and treat you with the warm aloha people have come to expect from Dr. Lau's exceptional team.


Lorly was born and raised on Maui. She’s been working for the Wailuku Dental Group Inc. since 2011. Lorly is the dental treatment coordinator. She arranges the financial options regarding treatments for patients and is the friendly voice on the phone who answers any questions about treatment plans.
Something you didn’t know: She is a very active church member and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family. When she’s not busy with her two girls who are involved with a variety of activities she likes to cook.
What does like about her job? I enjoy helping patients understand their insurance benefits with my knowledge of expertise.



Stephanie is originally from Wisconsin but moved to Idaho and eventually to Maui in 2018. After working as a dental assistant for 6 years she’s now taking the role as the scheduling coordinator, the friendly voice you here on the phone who helps you schedule your appointment. Something you didn’t know: In Stephanie’s free time she enjoys going on hikes, camping, swimming and wants to learn how to surf in the future. What does she like about her job? She likes meeting and engaging in conversations with patients and her coworkers.




Our highly skilled and talented hygienists all have wonderful, caring personalities and provide meticulous care as they rehabilitate or help you maintain your periodontal health. Moreover, they understand your busy schedule and work hard to make sure your cleaning appointments are timely and convenient.


Tricia is originally from Kirkland, Washington, went to dental hygiene school in Seattle then brought her considerable skills to us on Maui. If you don’t count “the pizza place,” dentistry has been her one and only job for 25 years. Something you didn’t know: Tricia loves reading and golf…although her number one passion is travel. Her goal is to go to some place new every year. What does she like about her job? “It has given me the opportunity to buy a home on Maui and live in a beautiful place where I really enjoy the people.” 




Thanks to her U.S. Army dad, Cheryl moved from Savannah, Georgia to Maui no ka oi at the age of nine. After she graduated from Maui High School, she found her first job at the Makawao Post Office. The dental hygiene field and three children later, she’s landed at a new home away from home at Wailuku Dental Group.  Something you didn’t know:  Cheryl enjoys a wide range of hobbies – from photography to crafts to lei-making.  What does she like about her job? “Not only is Dr. Lau a great boss, the girls here are awesome! Everyone gets along and are all team players.”



A Maui girl by birth and in spirit, Lisa has been a dental hygienist for 14 years. She once lived and worked in Tokyo but fortunately for us, returned to her roots to practice her profession. Something you didn’t know: Besides being Miss Valley Isle in 1992, Lisa got her Esthetician license and opened the Maluhia Day Spa in Dr. Lau’s office building. What does she like about her job? “Building a relationship with my patients and at the same time, helping them to maintain a healthy smile.”



Clinical Assistants

Our clinical dental assistants are well-trained professionals who always have your comfort in mind as they work with Dr. Lau on your treatment.


 Born and raised on Maui, Pikake started off in retail but ended up working in dentistry for the past 16 years. It helps that both fields center around “customer service” since she really likes meeting and working with people. Something you didn’t know: Pikake is an Oahu junkie -- playing tourist, visiting family and eating in all the restaurants. What does she like about her job? “I love seeing the transformation from an unhealthy mouth to a healthy, beautiful smile. So much happiness!”



"Hana" has lived in Maui most of her life and is one of the dedicated, longtime members of our dental staff. She has five beautiful children -- four boys and one little princess.  Something you didn't know: A devoted island mom, Hana loves going to the beach with her kids.  What does she like about her job?  "I love being in the dental field and coming to work at Dr. Lau's makes it even more enjoyable!"



Born and raised in the Philippines, Ofie is no stranger to dentistry.  She went to dental school in Manila and has a total of 28 years as a dental professional.  She loves working with patients to apply her clinical skills while gaining new knowledge as the profession continues to improve. Something you didn’t know:  Ofie loves joining dental missions so she can help people in need.  What does she like about her job?  “I love that Dr. Lau has the sweetest team and the latest technology.  I had worked with Dr. Lau for many years in the past, so when I returned, it felt like I found my home again.” 



Jill was born and raised on the island of Oahu and moved to Maui when she was in high school. Jill’s dental assisting career started in 2000 and since then slowly expanded into learning other dental specialties. Something you didn’t know: She loves spending time with her family which includes watching her children play sports. In addition, she advocates for 1 of her daughters who is diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and researching for better ways to help her daughter in managing the disease. What does she like about her job? At the Wailuku Dental Group Jill enjoys building smiles because in her opinion. “A smile goes a long way.”
